And on a not so funny note. Thanks LIZ!
EDIT: Crap - thats why Liz hasnt talked to me since I posted this. I meant to say - “On a not so serious note.” And my wife just told me that I said “Hardhips” instead of “hardships” on our personal blog. I need to get more sleep or something. Sorry Liz, I did laugh at this.

I posted about this book the other day. Here is the cover and a quote from someone alot more famous than me. Click on the book cover to send you to amazon.com
“I cannot recall the last time I was this moved by a novel. What Is the What is that rare book that truly deserves the overused and scarcely warranted moniker of ‘sprawling epic.’ Told with humor, humanity, and bottomless compassion for his subject, one Valentino Achak Deng, Eggers shows us the hardships, disillusions, and hopes of the long-suffering people of southern Sudan. This is the story of one boy’s astonishing capacity to endure atrocity after atrocity, and yet refuse to abandon decency, kindness, and hope for home and acceptance. It is impossible to read this book and not be humbled, enlightened, transformed. I believe I will never forget Valentino Achak Deng.”
—Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner”

So - I just finished this book today. It’s not very manly of me to admit that, yeah, I did bawl a few times reading this book. Wowza - I really enjoyed it. If you haven’t already - Please read this book - it sheds light on the war in Sudan and the Lost Boys. This story is a heartbreaker, but at the same time - shouldn’t discourage you from reading it. The author, David Eggers, is another great person you should get to know via the internets - more on him some other time. Go to amazon.com and search for “What Is The What” You just might cry.

An old intern/friend from the old days, Joel Goodman, wants you to, um, well - I really can’t think of anything clever to say. I just woke up and the creative juices aren’t flowing just yet. Maybe later?

Notice in the background my Ticket to Heaven! I am going to make it!!! BTW - Lester is a creation of Jesse LeDoux, and if you order a shirt, you could maybe get his twin brother - just saying. Wow - this was a little bit of a creepy post. I am normally not this strange, well, maybe I am…..
